I have put Distant Horizon on the hard for the winter. The bottom paint looks good. I might give it a quick touch-up in the spring. If I don't get to it... she'll be fine as she is.
Grace and I just returned from our visit to Distant Horizon. On our way to the boat, Grace and I made a detour; stopping in Bennington, VT.

You know, I'm not going to Vermont with my camera and forget about the covered bridges. This is Chiselville Bridge. The sign over the entrance states there is a one dollar fine for driving faster than a walk.

This is Henry Bridge. I thought it was one of the most beautiful bridges. Like most, it was a little difficult to access for photographing. Many of the bridges have signs posting the land adjacent to the bridge.

This is the West Arlington Bridge. Thought to be the most photographed covered bridge in Vermont.

We has to back-track to New York before heading south to the boat. So, it seemed right to stop and take a picture of a New York covered bridge. This is the Eagleville Bridge.

We covered Distant Horizon up for the winter. Since it's already January, it will be a short winter.
I have a few projects lining up for the spring. The biggest project will be freshening the brightwork (wood finishing). I hope to get all these done by late March. I am participating in a 3-day bike tour down in Edenton, NC in April. Since they are on the coast, it would be nice to sail down there and stay on the boat rather than in a tent. ... I know, my age is starting to come through. Even so, if it rains, the boat will be far more comfortable than a tent.
